Keep your Paddock & Pine product looking its best with these simple care instructions. With regular cleaning and occasional oiling, your handcrafted hardwood board or paddle will provide years of reliable service.

Before First Use

Your product has been finished with a premium food-safe board oil and is ready to use.

Before preparing or serving food, simply wipe the surface with a clean, damp cloth.

Everyday Cleaning

• Remove any food residue.
• Wash both sides of the board with warm water and a small amount of mild dishwashing liquid.
• Dry thoroughly with a clean towel.
• Stand the board upright or on its edge until completely dry before storing.

Tip: Washing both sides of your board helps it dry evenly and reduces the chance of warping.

Deep Cleaning & Removing Odours

• Sprinkle coarse salt and a little baking soda over the board.
• Cut a lemon in half and scrub the surface.
• Leave for 10–15 minutes.
• Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
• Dry thoroughly.

Oiling Your Board

• Oil approximately once a month with regular use.
• Oil whenever the timber begins to look dry.

1. Make sure the board is clean and dry.
2. Apply food-safe mineral oil or beeswax conditioner.
3. Cover all sides and edges.
4. Leave overnight.
5. Wipe away any excess.

Important

• Never place your board in the dishwasher.
• Never soak your board in water.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive heat or direct sunlight.
• Never use olive oil, canola oil or vegetable oil, as these can become rancid over time.

Always use a quality food-safe mineral oil or beeswax board conditioner to protect the timber and maintain its natural beauty.
